About Us

 

The Filipino Christian Fellowship of North Denver is a Filipino-American Religious Organization based in Westminster, Colorado. It was started on May 9, 2014 by the Olarte Family.

 

Pastor Michael "Bong" and Loreta "Lhet" Olarte, along with their two children – Matthew Bam and Markus Borg – came to the United States in November 2013, from their native country, the Philippines. This was in order to give their supporting church, Highland Baptist, an update on their ministry in the Philippines. Though this may have been a brief visit at first to the Denver Area, it became a long-term church planting mission.

 

The Filipino Christian Fellowship of North Devner was started on May 9, 2014. Sixteen adults accepted our Lord Jesus as their God and personal Savior! Attendees have said they deeply feel the message because we are using the native language of the Philippines –Tagalog – in Praise & Worship and in the message. Some of the attendees are Catholic, but they love the fellowship. Michael "Bong" Olarte, his wife Lhet, and their two sons, with God's guidance, continue to move forward with the growing of the FCF.

 

Currently, the FCF uses the Highland Baptist Church facility for their services.

 

On April 25, 2015, the Filipino Christian Fellowship of North Denver officially had their first Saturday Service. For 5 months, the FCF gathered in the Highland Baptist Church sanctuary every third Saturday of the month in order to continue sharing the Word of the Lord. Whenever there was no Saturday Service the other weeks of the month, the Olartes encouraged everyone to attend the Sunday Service at Highlands.

Since May 9, 2014 to now, the Filipino Christian Fellowship of North Denver has been growing immensely.
